Cancer Research
Our Collaboration with Duke
| The Derrick L. Davis Forsyth Regional Cancer Center and Duke University Health System have entered into an affiliation that expands our capabilities in the area of cancer research. |
Through this affiliation, Forsyths physicians and cancer patients will have greater access to clinical trials testing new cancer therapies and treatment regimens, some of which are unique to Duke. By joining forces, Duke and Forsyth will advance efforts to develop new treatments for many types of cancer benefiting not only our patients, but national and international efforts to cure cancer.
The Derrick L. Davis Forsyth Regional Cancer Center at Forsyth Medical Center diagnoses more than 2,600 patients a year and is one of the largest cancer centers in the state. The Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center is rated #6 in the nation for cancer care by U.S.News & World Report and is an international leader in cancer research, with more than $256 million in research funding annually.
