Modafinil - Fatigue Study
| Fatigue is a very common and troublesome side effect patients experience during chemotherapy treatment. The modafinil study will increase knowledge about the occurence and treatment of fatigue that develops during chemotherapy. |
Below are the ideas and background for the study:
- Fatigue is the most commonly reported side effect of chemotherapy treatment.
- Fatigue may interfere with a patient's quality of life.
- Fatigue is a common reason given by cancer patients who refuse to participate in experimental studies.
- Fatigue may adversely affect a patient's "fighting spirit" or will to live.
- Fatigue may affect the ability of a cancer patient to think clearly.
