| The Wellness Program offers people the opportunity to continue rehabilitation programs in either a supervised or unsupervised way. |
The Martinat Rehabilitation Center Wellness Program is designed to assist people in continuation of their rehabilitation program until they are comfortable to continue independently or find a suitable alternative environment to continue their rehabilitation program.

Features of the Wellness Program
- Martinat Rehabilitation therapy staff is available to address questions or concerns.
- Exercise logs will be provided for participants to record their daily activity.
- Participants are to use only those pieces of equipment to which they have been oriented.
- Participants are required to register at the time of the visit. A "Permission to Participate" form from the participant's physician may be necessary.
- Participants need to be independent with accessing the equipment and the toilet facilities.
Use of Equipment
The equipment available includes the cardiovascular equipment (treadmill, bicycles, stair-climber and upper body cycle) and the weight machines. Participants may use only the equipment to which they have been oriented by a therapist, athletic trainier or other Martinat Outpatient Rehabilitation Center health professional. There is a 15-minute time limit per station.
Payment
Insurance companies do not consider the Wellness Program a reimbursable medical service. Fees may be paid at a monthly rate of $40 due on the first calendar day of the month, or a per-visit rate of $20 due on the day of service. Fees are not prorated for partial weeks. Checks should be made payable to Martinat Outpatient Rehabilitation Center.
Hours of Operation
The Martinat Outpatient Rehabilitation Center at 1903 South Hawthorne Road in Winston-Salem is available for use Monday through Thursday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and on Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Martinat is closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Good Friday
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
