Stroke and Neurovascular Tests and Treatments
Biplane Angiography
| In addition to the standard technology, physicians at Forsyth Medical Center have access to newer tools, such as biplane angiography. |
At Forsyth Stroke and Neurovascular Center, physicians are aided by standard technology, including computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), as well as newer tools, such as biplane cerebral angiography.
Used for diagnostic and interventional procedures primarily in the brain and neck, biplane angiography allows physicians to view complex vessel structures, make them transparent and visualize what lies behind them.
This technology has revolutionized treatment for brain diseases and injuries not only because it takes clear and detailed pictures, but also because it enables surgeons to perform endovascular and surgical procedures more swiftly and with a greater degree of safety.
