Newborn Services
There are more than 4 million babies born every year in the United States.
The Sara Lee Center for Women's Health provides a great deal more for you and your new baby than just the delivery. There are numerous services provided, be it information you may need for caring for your child or products you would like to take home with you.
Do you have specific questions about normal newborns? Visit our Health Library for answers.
This is the most comprehensive lactation center in Winston-Salem, featuring exceptional services, supplies, equipment and support for nursing mothers.
New Baby Line
Sometimes when you have a new baby, you just need to talk. Maybe you're experiencing "the blues," or maybe you can't figure out why baby won't quit crying. Whatever your reason, call 336-718-4201 or 800-364-9262 any time, day or night. We're here to listen and help.
Babies learn by listening. This test is done in the baby's crib in a quiet room near the nursery.
When your baby cannot be with you in your room, our newborn nursery staff will provide care for your baby. All Sara Lee Center staff wear special ID badges. The badge is a part of our infant safety and security program.
This unit provides care for babies who need closer observation or medical treatment than the newborn nursery offers.
Sometimes babies are born too soon and often have health issues that go hand-in-hand with their prematurity.
Newborn Photography
The pride of becoming a new parent is not hard to miss. There is no better way to display the pride of a new child than through pictures. At the Sara Lee Center for Woman's Health, there is a professional photographer on the same floor as the mother/baby unit to take your baby's first picture. Before you leave the hospital, your baby's photo will be taken, and digital proofs brought to you for review and selection. Several packages are available for purchase, and they can be ready for you to take home.
