WINSTON-SALEM, NC The Great 100, Inc., a Triad-based grassroots peer recognition organization honoring the nursing profession in North Carolina, has named two Novant Health nurses to its 2005 Great 100 Nurses list.

Gloria Willis, R.N., of Forsyth Medical Center and Gwen Stewart, R.N., from the Oaks at Forsyth were among the 100 nurses honored statewide for their excellence and commitment to the profession of nursing.

Based in Greensboro, the Great 100, Inc., recognizes 100 registered nurses in North Carolina each year who have demonstrated outstanding professional ability and contributed to improving the healthcare services in their community. Since its creation in 1998, the group has honored 1,700 nurses and awarded more than $140,000 in nursing scholarships. For more information on the Great 100, visit www.great100.org.
