Forsyth Medical Center Nurses Recognize National Nurses Week With Free Community Blood Pressure Checks

Winston-Salem, NC - Nurses from Forsyth Medical Center will be offering free blood pressure checks at nine locations in Forsyth, Yadkin and Stokes counties on Monday, May 1 as part of activities to mark National Nurses Week (May 1-5). In addition to free blood pressure checks, nurses will provide information on health related issues.
"This activity is part of a national effort to recognize our nursing profession and the hundreds of thousands of nurses who provide care to our sick, injured and elderly every day," says Elizabeth Warden, director of nursing at Forsyth Medical Center. "We want to people to be aware of the vital contribution nurses make to our health care system from doctor's offices and hospitals to nursing homes and in-home health care."
Locations and times for the free blood pressure checks are:
  • Curves in Walnut Cove - 8 a.m. 10 a.m.
  • Curves in King - 8 a.m. 10 a.m
  • Curves in Lewisville - 8 a.m. 10 a.m
  • Curves in Yadkinville - 8 a.m. 10 a.m.
  • Lowe's Foods in Kernersville - 8 a.m. 11 a.m..
  • Women's Wellness in Winston-Salem 8:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m.
  • Market Place Mall in Winston-Salem - 10 a.m. 12 noon.
  • Fitness 2000 in Lewisville - 9 a.m. 11 a.m.
  • Wal-Mart in Winston Salem 11 a.m. 1 p.m.
