WINSTON-SALEM, August 14, 2006 Just days after its new 36,000-square-foot multi-specialty office building opened, Central Triad Medical Park has received another new feature a new name. Forsyth Medical Center (FMC) announced today that the 16-year-old park located off of Pineview Drive has been renamed Forsyth Medical Park Kernersville (FMPK).
Sarah Sinclair, senior vice president for regional market development, said the park's name was changed to better reflect FMC's well-established presence in the Kernersville community.
"Forsyth Medical Center and its affiliates have provided primary and specialty healthcare in Kernersville for more than 16 years, but residents dont always realize that Central Triad Medical Park practices are affiliated with FMC," Sinclair said. "We believe that the name 'Forsyth Medical Park Kernersville' more accurately describes our position within this community and our commitment to providing quality healthcare to the residents of eastern Forsyth County."
The 25-acre medical office park is home to a number of primary care and specialty practices affiliated with FMC, including cardiology, obstetrical/gynecological, pediatric, family practice, gastrointestinal, ear-nose-throat, orthopaedic, oncology and radiology. PrimeCare FMC's family medicine, urgent care and occupational health practice also has a location near the park.
The new multi-specialty medical office building will be home to Forsyth Radiological Associates, Lyndhurst Gynecologic Associates, Piedmont Hematology-Oncology Associates, Forsyth Internal Medicine-Kernersville, Winston-Salem Cardiology, Salem Neurological Associates, Piedmont Allergy & Asthma Associates, and Piedmont Cosmetic Surgery & Dermatology Associates.
Forsyth Medical Center is part of Novant Health, a not-for-profit integrated healthcare system based in North Carolina. Hospital affiliates include Forsyth Medical Center and Medical Park Hospital in Winston-Salem, Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville; Presbyterian Hospital, Presbyterian Orthopaedic Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital Matthews and Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville in the Charlotte area; Brunswick Community Hospital in Supply, NC; and management services for Wilkes Regional Medical Center.
