Effective April 2, 2007, Novant Health and all of its facilities, including Forsyth Medical Center are 100% tobacco-free. Patients, visitors, employees, physicians, contract workers and volunteers will not be allowed to smoke or use tobacco products anywhere on the property.

We understand this change will be difficult for some of our patients and visitors. For patients, your doctor and caregivers can assist you with nicotine replacement options to help you cope during your stay and can provide information if you are interested in quitting after you leave. Visitors to the hospital can purchase nicotine replacement, including gum and patches, in the hospital gift shop and lobby pharmacy from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
