About the Foundation

Since the Foundation's creation, grateful patients, friends of the hospital, excited new parents, corporate donors, grant-making institutions, and people with a desire to create a legacy for future generations have made donations and pledges to support patient programs and services at Forsyth Medical Center. Forsyth Medical Center deeply appreciates the contribution such gifts make toward meeting our mission to improve the health of our community, one person at a time. To that end, we strive to provide best-science technology and medical practices so that members of our community do not need to travel to other cities for specialized care. Patient assistance and healthy living programs made possible by donor gifts provide that extra margin of excellence that has earned Forsyth Medical Center prestigious, national recognition for quality of care and outcomes.

In addition to the personal satisfaction gained from supporting healthy communities and helping us save and revitalize lives, donors may also reduce their income or capital gains taxes, depending on how a gift is made. Moreover, many reduce the tax burden on their estates by incorporating philanthropy in their estate planning.
