Forsyth Medical Center volunteers are a valuable part of the FMC healthcare family. Whether delivering flowers and mail to patients or assisting families and visitors throughout the facility, our more than 600 volunteers give of their time and talent to help others in need. Our adult and junior volunteers donated more than 104,000 hours of service in 2009.
In addition to giving of their time, the FMC Auxiliary generates more than $150,000 annually through the FMC Gift Shop, Day One Newborn Photography and Lifeline, as well as through employee fundraisers.
In turn, the Auxiliary pledges donations to departments that request funding support. From giving seed money to Sniffles 'N Such, a sick child daycare for employees' children, to donating $1 million to the Derrick L. Davis Forsyth Regional Cancer Center, the Auxiliary's effect on the hospital as well as the community we serve will be felt for generations to come.
