Registered Nurses (RN)
We recently revised our award program and are pleased to offer a $5,000 Nursing Scholars Award to new graduate RNs who begin their nursing careers at Forsyth Medical Center.
Eligibility Requirements
- Successfully complete a nursing program and the state board exam.
- Apply to the Nurse Internship Program, complete the application/interview process, accept a position and begin work at Forsyth Medical Center as a full-time staff RN.
- Have been employed as an RN for six months or less.
Award Information
Upon beginning work, each new RN graduate will receive $5,000 in award funds to be distributed over the course of the first two years of employment. The funds will help to assist in the repayment of school expenses that may have been incurred. The $5,000 is equally divided among 52 pay periods (two years) and distributed via bi-weekly paychecks, in addition to regular wages earned. The $5,000 award will be adjusted to a higher amount in order to cover a portion of the taxes. The recipient will be responsible for covering all additional taxes.
Committment to Forsyth Medical Center
Recipients of the award are expected to work at Forsyth Medical Center for two years, full-time as a staff RN, and will be required to sign an award agreement and Internship agreement as a condition of employment.
