Allergy ShotsAllergy shots or hyposensitization (or allergy desensitization) is a form of immunotherapy in which the patient is vaccinated with progressively larger doses of an allergen to which they have been diagnosed as being sensitive. Hyposensitization can either reduce the severity of symptoms or eliminate hypersensitivity altogether. Allergy Testing and TreatmentAllergy testing involves having a skin or blood test to determine what substance , or allergen, may trigger an allergic response in a person. Treatment options can range from lifestyle changes to medication to immunotherapy (allergy shots). Audiology ServicesIn addition to hearing tests (audiogram), audiology services can include tests such as Multi-Frequency Tympanometry, Middle Ear Muscle Reflexes, Otoacoustic Emission Testing, Amplification/Hearing aid evaluations and dispensing, and numerous other tests. AudiometryA hearing test usually performed in a soundproof room; the person wears earphones and tones are presented to each ear, one at a time.
Balloon SinuplastyA type of endoscopic surgery in which a catheter-based device clears blocked sinuses, restoring normal sinus drainage and function, and preserving normal anatomy and mucosal tissue.
Botox/RestylaneBy combining two of the most popular, FDA-approved wrinkle fighters, Botox and Restylane offer a simple, non-surgical alternative to a facelift. Doctors uses Botox to prevent new wrinkles from appearing and Restylane to fill the ones that you already have. Head Injury TreatmentBecause the brain is very complex, every head injury is different. Some symptoms may appear right away, while others may not show up for days or weeks after the injury. We use a variety of diagnostic tools to help identify the type of injury and determine the best course of treatment. Parotid SurgeryThe parotid gland is a salivary gland that manufactures saliva and transports it via a small duct into the oral cavity. Reasons for a parotidectomy (removal of the parotid gland) include, but are not limited exclusively, to benign and/or malignant growths in the parotid gland itself, as well as chronic infection, and retained stones that may form in the parotid gland. Sinus SurgerySinuses are air cavities within the facial bones, lined by mucous membranes similar to those in other parts of the airways. Certain sinus conditions may require surgery. Thyroid SurgerySurgery to remove portions or all of the thyroid gland, or polyps growing on the thyroid gland. Tonsillectomy / AdenoidectomyTonsils are lymph nodes found in the back of the mouth. Adenoids are also tonsils but they are higher up, in the back of the nose. The most common reason for tonsillectomy (removal of the tonsils) and adenoidectomy (removal of the adenoids) is to remove enlarged tonsils and adenoids which block breathing passages.
