Condition Reports

Any personal information about a patient's diagnosis and treatment must come from the doctor. This medical information is only available to the patient or designated members of the immediate family. To further protect our patients' confidentialty and privacy, information regarding patient's condition will not be provided via telephone unless special arrangements are made with the patient's nurse.

Patient Information

You may call the patient directly by dialing (336) 718-plus the patient's four digit room number. If you do not know the room number, call patient information at (336) 718-2000 and ask for the patient by full name. Patients in our critical care areas do not have phones in the room. Operators can transfer you to the waiting room, where you may speak with family or friends that are present. Due to patient confidentiality, operators do not report on the conditions of patients. They may, however, transfer calls to nurse's stations.

Smoking Policy

We are committed to the health and wellness of the people we serve in this community. That is why Forsyth Medical Center and its affiliates are tobacco-free. The use of tobacco products by patients, visitors, employees or physicians is prohibited inside the buildings or anywhere on hospital property. We understand how difficult it is for some people to be unable to smoke while in the hospital. Guests to our facility will find nicotine replacement products for sale in our gift shops and Forsyth Healthcare Pharmacy, located in the main lobby. If you are a patient, your doctor and caregivers can assist you with tools to help you cope during your stay here or in obtaining appropriate support to stop smoking. Learn More
