Parking

Valet parking service is available in front of the main medical center entrance for outpatients and inpatients on the day of admission. There is no charge to the patient for this service.

Visitor parking is available for visitors in the visitor parking lot located in front of the medical center. The charge for parking is based on the length of time in the lot. If, as a visitor, you will be leaving and returning to the medical center in the same day, it is more economical to purchase a day pass. Please request the pass from the parking lot attendant as you leave the lot for the first time. Special arrangements are also in place for visitors of patients who remain in the hospital for an extended stay. Ask the parking lot attendant or contact Patient Relations at (336) 718-2005 to explain the process for extended stay visitor parking.

Maps

We have maps of the Forsyth Medical Center campus, as well as maps of each floor of the medical center. These maps are located in the main lobby on the first floor and in the Emergency Department.

Security Escort

A security escort is available 24 hours a day to accompany visitors to their vehicles within the visitor's parking lot of the medical center.

Waiting Areas

There are designated waiting ares on many of our floors. If you are in surgery, family and friends will be directed to a convenient waiting area. This will be the area where your surgeon will look for family members to give updates during or following your surgery.

Banking

A Wachovia automated teller machine (ATM), a U.S. Postal Stamp machine and a mailbox are located in the main lobby of Forsyth Medical Center.

Allegacy Federal Credit Union

Located to the left of the main lobby, just inside the Admitting entrance, you will find an Allegacy Federal Credit Union office. This location is capable of handling most banking transactions including car loans.

Florists

Volunteers will deliver flowers ordered from off-campus florists to patient rooms. Floral arrangements also are sold from a display case in the gift shop located in the main lobby on the first floor and can be purchased daily until 8 p.m. Please keep in mind that large plants and floral arrangements are difficult to remove at discharge. Some patients' conditions may prevent them from having live plants. Check with the patient's nurse.
