Forsyth Medical Center Behavioral Health has psychiatrists, registered nurses, psychiatric technicians, counselors, recreational therapists and clinical social workers who provide treatment at multiple levels. A patient can be treated at one level only or move through a series of transitions from one level to another.

Outpatient Programs
We offer a broad array of outpatient programs, which allows us to treat patients with both psychiatric and substance abuse problems. These programs include:

Partial Hospitalization: Group treatments are provided separately for mental health issues and substance abuse issues and are held Monday through Friday
Intensive Outpatient Program: Provides 12 or more hours of treatment during day or evening hours, Monday through Friday
Two types of weekday group sessions: mental health issues and substance abuse issues
Individual Outpatient Counseling: By appointment only
Substance Abuse Free Confidential Assessment: By appointment only
Family Recovery Program: This program consists of weekly family group therapy sessions designed to help the family understand and participate in the recovery process
Continuing Care: Day or evening sessions are offered once a week after completion of treatment
Dialetical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Specialized skills training group treatment focusing on mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships and distress tolerance
Crisis Response Team: Available 24/7 at 336-718-3550
