Support Services

We work with community partners so our patients can benefit from a variety of resources.

One of the most challenging aspects of being diagnosed with cancer is not knowing what's happening in one's own body. Even the most difficult situations are less threatening when people understand what they're feeling.

Our goal is to help you be as comfortable as possible in a physical, emotional and spiritual sense as you go through your illness.

Patients and families come to the center at various points during diagnosis, therapy, treatment, or perhaps for comfort. Issues which cause stress, conflict or uncertainty can have profound effects on one's illness and how it is managed. When cancer comes to you, all the people close to you are affected.

To help you and your family, the center's support programs are organized under three functions: information, support and referral. In addition, we participate as a member of The Cancer Care Coalition of Winston-Salem, a collaborative group of providers formed to help cancer patients and family members maintain and enhance quality of life during and after diagnosis and treatment.  Learn More
