The Limb Preservation Center at Forsyth Medical Center focuses on reducing amputations through a multidisciplinary team approach for prevention and treatment.  Our team of specialists treat wounds related to arterial and venous disease as well as diabetic foot problems.

Multidisciplinary Team

By bringing together a specialized team of experts utilizing the lastest technologies, patients receive the highest quality of care and a personalized treatment plan specific to their needs.  This approach allows us to manage patients with one or more complex diseases or conditions. Our program is led by Dr. Timothy Vogler and Dr. R. Bradley Thomason, III, who are board-certified in their respective specialties and are certified wound specialists.

Our multidisciplinary team includes:

  • Hospitalists
  • Nurses and dieticians
  • Wound care specialists
  • Foot and ankle specialists (podiatric surgeons or orthopaedists)
  • Vascular specialists (vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, interventional radiologists)
  • Infectious disease specialists and PharmD team
  • Rehabilitation team
  • Orthotists and prosthetists
  • Case managers and social workers
