Common causes for constipation include:
Insufficient fiber and fluid intake
Ignoring the urge to have a bowel movement
Medications
Pain killers
Antidepressants
Tranquilizers
Diuretics
Blood pressure medicine
Iron and calcium supplements
Antacids (those containing aluminum)
