Forsyth Medical Center's respiratory services are staffed with licensed respiratory care practitioners, skilled nurses and board-certified pulmonologists. We offer diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation for conditions ranging from asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, thrombo-embolic disease, smoking and interstitial lung disease.

We have the largest medical floor in the state of North Carolina dedicated to the care of patients with lung disease. Visitors are welcome 24-hours a day, and rooming-in arrangements are available for family members. All of our 40 rooms are private.

When patients are ready to return home, Forsyth Medical Center's respiratory services partners with Critical Care Transport at Forsyth to assure a seamless continuum of appropriate care for patients recovering from acute severe illness.
