The effects of stroke on patients and their loved ones can be traumatic. In addition to physical recovery, survivors and families may need emotional or social support to understand and cope with the life changes that often accompany stroke.
We have a number of stroke support groups meeting regularly to share experiences and help each other understand and cope with common challenges. Stroke survivors, families and friends, as well as healthcare professionals, are encouraged to attend Forsyth's Stroke Support Group meetings.
