Contacting the NICU

Information regarding an infant's condition will be given only to the mother and father.  The mother and father may call 24 hours a day with the exception of the shift change times listed below.

• 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 a.m.
• 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
• 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
• 10:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.

The nursery phone number is (336) 718-3160. If you are calling from outside the calling area, you may use the toll free number, 1-800-937-1873.

Parents are welcome to use the NICU telephones for local outgoing calls. To avoid tying up the telephone system, please limit any incoming calls to one each time you're in the NICU. Public telephones are available in the hospital lobby on the first floor if you wish to place a long distance call.
